The staff were very accommodating regarding dietary needs.
Our room had a strong smell of smoke when we arrived. Although the manager attempted to remedy this, the odor returned quickly. I found the cleanliness of the overall hotel to be lacking with some noticeable residue in the bathroom areas.

Dining at Lalaca is an experience! The kaiseki-style meals were massive and absolutely delightful, perfect for culinary explorers. Plus, the private onsen was a dream for relaxation after all that delicious food! The staff were exceptional, especially when accommodating my son's dietary needs.
The only hiccup? The uphill walk from Gora station can be a real leg-burner if you’re dragging heavy bags.

We had a huge room with tatami mats and a private shower, which was super comfy. The beds were really cozy and the view of the snow-covered mountains was breathtaking. We also loved that they provided yukatas for us to wear around. The space felt authentic and was really well-equipped for our stay. Only thing was, the walk from the station is a bit steep, but it was totally worth it for the experience!

The food was out of this world, and I loved soaking in the private onsen after a long day out exploring. It was so relaxing to unwind at the open-air bath and have the chance to lounge in the garden area. Just a heads up, the toilet can get a bit chilly during the night, but it didn’t take away from our lovely stay! 😊
